MIX IT UPby Boogah4Here are just a few tactics that i use on illinois yotes. First... coyotes get
edgucated fast around here so i like to use alot of different sounds. Alot of
times i will use the can, u know, the one for deer hunting. I will turn it over
rapidly 15- 30 times and wait. I have called severay yotes in with it. Another
sequence i use is the howler in conjunction with a squeeler or deer bleat. In
this sequence i will not howl though, i will make a series of yips and barks to
try to sound like two or three yotes chaseing something and immediatly after the
yips and barks do the can or rabbit squeeler or deer bleat. I find i have more
success by mixing up the sounds and trying different calls.
